The WSSYSA Executive Committee met this evening to discuss holding the Annual Regatta. Given current guidelines, the opportunity for coronavirus flare-ups, and the challenges of safely hosting a large event, we reluctantly concluded that we must cancel this year’s event, due to take place at Cobnor Activities Centre on 19-20 September.

We realise that, although perhaps not surprising, this decision will be a great disappointment for local youth sailors, who year on year look forward to participating at this event and representing their clubs as they do so. We trust that they will find a way to keep sailing and retain their appetite to support the event in 2021, when we will return to Cobnor (dates to follow).
